- Serve as a strategic partner to business functional leads, building trust and aligning on goals, priorities, and outcomes.
- Translate business requests into detailed user experiences and engineering specifications ensuring value, viability, usability, and feasibility dimensions are met.
- Collaborate and coordinate with Business Functional Leads, Product Owners and Architects to ensure specifications are actionable and aligned across technology teams.
- Manage work using Kanban to visualize flow and track progress: Discover, Ideate, Define, Execute, Launch, and Learn.
- Drive continuous improvement of the product lifecycle by identifying and eliminating waste, improving throughput, and reducing lead and cycle times. Experience with Theory of Constraints a plus.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and alignment between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Champion the use of experience design artifacts (e.g., Journey Maps, Process Flows, Prototypes) to enhance usability and alignment with JH Core Processes.
- 5 + years’ experience in finance, tax, or banking industries preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with business and technology leaders.
- Strong command of product principles and lifecycles a must. Experience managing work utilizing flow principles, concepts and systems a bonus.
- Demonstrated leadership in high-change, high-complexity environments with sound critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Skilled in systems thinking and continuous improvement, with a track record of optimizing product development flow.
- Effective communicator with active listening skills and the ability to close communication loops across all organizational levels.
- Approachable, empathetic, and adaptable—embodying servant leadership and modeling Jackson Hewitt’s core competencies in Continuous Improvement, Learning, Agility, Tax Knowledge, and Customer Knowledge.
